As the winter evenings close in, to add to the magical atmosphere, the trees along Serpentine Road will sparkle with thousands of Christmas lights high- lighting the incredible natural beauty of Hyde Park. In this truly unique central London location, Winter Wonderland will provide thousands of families, friends, couples and children with the ultimate Christmas experience, day and night. Whether you're an experienced skater or a complete beginner the Winter Wonderland open-air ice rink is London’s essential winter experience giving a cool 35 days of skating. Whilst the rink remains the focus for skaters and spectators, there are plenty of other attractions around the park for all the family including the ice café bars, traditional children's carousel, helter-skelter and rides; and a giant Big Wheel plus lots of free festive entertainment. Winter Wonderland will transform Hyde Park into an exciting world of ice and festival fun, laughter and excitement for both adults and children. As well as the stunning ice rink, Winter Wonderland includes gentle rides for younger children. There’ll be traditional food and mulled wine and a delightfully original German Christmas Fair including authentic arts, crafts, presents and foods from a range of genuine traders - making it the ideal place to do some Christmas shopping and enjoy the atmosphere of the Festive season. The bandstand will feature regular carol concerts and, when time allows, even Santa himself is scheduled to make an appearance in the run-up to Christmas.
